Finance Factors Announces Multiple Promotions
Finance Factors, Hawaii’s largest locally-owned depository financial services loan company, announced several promotions within the company. “We value the knowledge and experience of these individuals and we appreciate their contributions to the company’s success,” said Steven Teruya, president and chief operating officer.
Dixon Bautista was promoted from AVP & IT Manager to Vice President & IT Manager. He is responsible for managing the Information Technology function that includes the enterprise network and the end user computing environments. He directs, delegates, and serves as the escalation point for trouble shooting, including the full range of technical support for network communications, servers, computer hardware/software, applications, printers and peripherals throughout the firm. Bautista joined Finance Factors in 2008 and is a VMWare Certified Professional. He previously worked at Hoike Networks, Atlas Insurance Agency, and Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe LLP (Menlo Park, CA). Bautista resides in Foster Village.
David Miyasato was promoted from AVP & Branch Administrator to Vice President & Branch Administrator. He is responsible for the overall management of operations at the company’s 13 branch offices to ensure profitability, efficiency and compliance with regulations. Miyasato manages branch supervisory and support staff, a total of approximately 40 people. He joined Finance Factors in 2008 as an Accountant in Finance Administration. He became a Financial Analyst in 2009 and a Senior Financial Analyst in 2013. He assumed the responsibilities for Branch Administration in 2018 and was soon promoted to AVP & Branch Administrator. He previously worked at Bank of America in Washington state. Miyasato resides in Aiea.
Bob Souza was promoted from AVP & Data Services Manager to Vice President & Information Systems Manager. He’s responsible for managing the Data Center and ensuring the operability and availability of the environment. He’s also responsible for resource supervision and the full range of support related to the core banking system operations. He also manages projects, other work priorities, as well as departmental administration support. Souza has been working at Finance Factors for 30 years. He started as a Programmer Analyst and was promoted to Systems Administrator, Data Center Manager and AVP & Data Services Manager. Prior to Finance Factors, Souza was a Programmer Analyst at COMPUTAB. Souza resides in Kaneohe.
Leila Tokita was promoted from AVP & Treasury Operations Manager to Vice President & Treasury Operations Manager. She serves as the operations manager of the treasury function of the company. She ensures the efficient management of cash balances and investments. Tokita is also in charge of the company’s Asset/Liability Management and is the principal liaison with regulators and auditors. Tokita joined the Finance Factors Family of Companies in 1990, when she started as an Actuarial Analyst with Grand Pacific Life. She later transferred to Finance Factors and worked her way up from Senior Financial Analyst to Asset/Liability Analyst, Senior Asset/Liability Analyst and AVP & Treasury Operations Manager. Tokita resides in Mililani.
Debbie Uetake was promoted from AVP & Loan Administrator to Vice President & Loan Administrator. She’s responsible for administering and managing loan activities related to product development and pricing, managing all loan marketing initiatives and supporting loan production activities. In 2019, she played a major role in launching the loan department’s new business model, helping to develop and execute a retail marketing strategy and updating the company’s loan guidelines and pricing models. Uetake first joined Finance Factors in 1986 and held various positions including Management Trainee, Executive Assistant to the President-CEO, Special Projects Coordinator, and Loan Servicing Supervisor. She worked at Hawaiian Tel FCU before rejoining Finance Factors in 2013. Uetake resides in Ewa Beach.
Myles Fujimoto was promoted from Assistant Loan Systems Administrator to Assistant Vice President & Loan Systems Administrator. He’s responsible for the Residential Loan Department’s loan systems, which includes implementation and maintenance of loan software programs, ongoing updates, revisions and maintenance, plus administrative duties related to internal audits, regulatory exams, and compliance. Fujimoto joined the company 20 years ago, initially as a Consumer Loan Center Loan Officer. After going through the Management Training Program, he served as a loan processor, Assistant Loan Processing Supervisor, Loan Processing Supervisor and the dual role of Assistant Loan Systems Administrator and Senior Loan Processor. Fujimoto resides in Mililani.
