Finance Factors to Serve Breakfast for a Good Cause on July 21

22nd Annual Charity Breakfast to benefit American Red Cross of Hawaii

Finance Factors today announced the details of its 22nd Annual Finance Factors Charity Breakfast, which will take place from 6:30 to 9 a.m. on Friday, July 21 at the Finance Factors Center in downtown Honolulu. Over 70 volunteers and employees will come together to serve a traditional local style breakfast of Kukui brand Portuguese sausage, eggs, and rice at the event, that will offer a limited amount of hot breakfasts for sale at $6 a plate. The event will support the American Red Cross of Hawaii, the local branch of the national humanitarian network.

“We are so thankful that Finance Factors has selected the American Red Cross of Hawaii as the beneficiary of this year’s Finance Factors Charity Breakfast,” said Coralie Chun Matayoshi, chief executive officer, American Red Cross Pacific Islands Region. “Every dollar raised during this event will help us provide compassionate care to those in need here in Hawaii.”

The Finance Factors Charity Breakfast was founded in 1995 by several Finance Factors employees searching for a way to give back to the local community. As a company founded by a group of Hawaii families, Finance Factors’ offered breakfast showcases Portuguese sausage, eggs and rice, a staple morning meal in local homes, and the event’s signature item for over two decades.

“The Finance Factors Charity Breakfast embodies our commitment to giving back to the communities we serve,” said Steven Teruya, president and chief operating officer of Finance Factors. “As Finance Factors celebrates its 65th anniversary, we are proud to support the American Red Cross of Hawaii’s centennial year and renew our dedication to making a positive difference in our state.”

All proceeds from the Finance Factors Charity Breakfast will benefit American Red Cross of Hawaii’s core mission: to prevent and alleviate emergency-generated human suffering through the mobilization of volunteers and generosity of donors. The American Red Cross of Hawaii provides disaster relief, safety training, services to armed forces, international services, and community events and presentations throughout the state.

Since the first Charity Breakfast in 1995, the event has served over 21,000 breakfasts, raising more than $145,000 for over a dozen local charities, including Waikīkī Health Center, Abilities Unlimited, Lanakila Meals on Wheels, Aloha United Way, Kau Kau Wagon, Pacific Gateway Center, Kupu, and more.
