Finance Factors Hosts Check Presentation Ceremony for the Hawai'i Foodbank

The donation, including a monetary gift and canned goods, was made today on behalf of Finance Factors’ employees and customers

In a presentation today, Finance Factors announced a donation – including a monetary gift and canned goods and other food items – to the Hawai‘i Foodbank at the company’s Bishop Street Branch.  Finance Enterprises’ chief executive officer, Russell Lau, presented the donation on behalf of Finance Factors.

“We are proud to make this donation on behalf of Finance Factors’ employees and customers, and we look forward to continuing to support the Hawai‘i Foodbank and the important work that they do for our island residents,” said Russell Lau, Finance Enterprises’ chief executive officer.

“The holiday season reminds us all of the importance of giving and we remain committed to reaching out to the local community in ways both big and small,” Lau added.

In addition to a monetary donation, Finance Factors also presented the Hawai‘i Foodbank with canned goods and other food items – including spam, pork and beans, tuna, soups, fruits and vegetables, collected from customers and employees who participated in Finance Factors’ Honolulu City Lights Trolley Rides. The trolley rides were free to Finance Factors customers and ran from December 15 to 18.

“The Hawai‘i Foodbank serves more than 131,862 individuals throughout the state each year, and this donation will allow us to continue to help the people that need us the most,” said Linda Chu-Takayama, Hawai‘i Foodbank’s board of directors chairperson. “We are grateful to Finance Factors’ for their continued support.”

Finance Factors’ mascot, Mr. Green, also made an appearance at the event.
