Finance Factors Sponsors 10th Annual Junior Achievement Golf Classic

The 10th Annual Junior Achievement of Hawaii, Inc. Golf Classic, sponsored by Finance Factors, Ltd. returns to the Kapolei Golf Course on Thursday, September 24. All funds raised at the tournament will help Junior Achievement of Hawaii continue its mission of teaching youth about business, economics and free enterprise.

Golf enthusiasts can enroll three-person teams to enjoy a day of golf at the Kapolei Golf Course and experience nonstop action and the opportunity to win prizes.

"Helping to improve the quality of education for Hawaii's youth is extremely important, and we are proud to once again be this year's title sponsor for the Golf Classic," said Steven Teruya, president and COO, Finance Factors. "We hope the donations raised from this year's Golf Classic will continue to add tremendous momentum to the efforts of Junior Achievement of Hawaii to impact future generations of Hawaii's leaders."

Teruya is a former chairman and current board member of Junior Achievement of Hawaii.

This will be the eighth consecutive year that Finance Factors has sponsored the event – helping the non-profit to raise more than $300,000 over the years. More than 20 Finance Factors employees will help to staff and participate in this year's Golf Classic.

"Finance Factors has been a core, primary sponsor for Junior Achievement of Hawaii for many years and their outpouring of kindness and volunteerism to our entire program, and especially our annual Golf Classic, allows us to achieve our goal of providing compassionate and quality guidance and education for Hawaii's youth," said M. Steven Grant, president of Junior Achievement of Hawaii.

During the 2008-2009 school year, Junior Achievement of Hawaii’s volunteers served over 6,000 students in Oahu, Maui and the Big Island, helping to make economic concepts relevant through various programs.

Tournament space is limited and reservations by threesomes are required. The action begins with lunch at the Kapolei Golf Course restaurant at 11 a.m., with a shotgun start teeing off at 12:30 p.m. The awards dinner follows at 5:30 p.m. For more information on the 10th Annual Junior Achievement of Hawaii, Inc.
