Finance Factors Promotes Ige, Nip and Sato


Finance Factors, Ltd. announced the promotions of Alvin Ige to senior vice president and chief credit officer, George Nip to vice president and controller, and Aaron Sato to vice president and treasurer.

 

As senior vice president and chief credit officer, Alvin Ige is responsible for overseeing the company’s loan portfolio credit quality and ensuring that the company’s lending activities adhere to policies and regulatory guidelines.  A resident of Kaimuki, Ige has been with Finance Factors for thirty years, starting as a management trainee and working his way up to senior vice president of commercial loans, and now chief credit officer.  He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and is also a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School.

     
 

Promoted to vice president and controller, George Nip supervises and manages the financial and accounting functions of the company.  Nip joined Finance Factors in 1990, and is a certified public accountant, as well as a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Hawaii.  Nip, a Mililani resident, is a member of the Hawaii Society of CPAs, and is an avid volunteer with the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

     
 

Aaron Sato has been promoted to vice president and treasurer, and manages the asset/liability functions of the company, including managing the investment portfolio, cash and liquidity, deposit pricing, interest rate risk, and related activities.  Sato, a Pearl City resident, has three degrees from the University of Hawaii – Bachelor of Arts in economics, Master of Business Administration in finance and Master’s of accounting.  He is a member of Financial Executives International, a board member of the Financial Management Association – University of Hawaii Finance Club, and is an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes and American Diabetes Association.
