The Finance Factors Family of Companies is committed to supporting the community by providing financial support to many charitable and community-based organizations. Through the Finance Factors Foundation, we direct our support to four key areas that are aligned with community needs and business objectives: education, health and human services, community and civic affairs, and culture and the arts.

Employees Give Generously
Our employees give generously of their time to volunteer on boards, devote time to their children’s schools and volunteer within their communities. They also provide generous financial support to charitable organizations such as Aloha United Way. Finance Factors also strives to support the efforts of our employees in the community by providing financial assistance to those organizations that already benefit from our employees’ time, talents, enthusiasm and energy.
Community Events
At Finance Factors, “Supporting the Communities We Serve” is a core part of our mission statement. Finance Factors and its employees play an active role in the community through participation in various events and activities throughout the year. Along with the reward that comes from doing good, our employees find these events to be lots of fun. Here are some of the events and activities we have participated in recently:
Finance Factors Charity Breakfast
The annual Finance Factors Charity Breakfast is our signature fundraising event. Before the crack of dawn, over 70 employee volunteers gather to prepare Portuguese sausage and egg breakfasts which are sold all over downtown Honolulu. Over 1200 breakfasts are prepared and sold within a 3-hour period at the entrance to our downtown Honolulu headquarters. All monies generated go directly to a deserving non-profit organization that serves the community.
American Cancer Society – Relay for Life
Each year, close to 100 employees of the Finance Factors Family of Companies, family members and friends enjoy an evening filled with food and fun to celebrate cancer survivorship. Prior to this overnight event, employees also raise thousands of dollars through an employee bake sale, chili ticket sale, and silent auction for donation to the American Cancer Society to support their cancer research and related programs.
Charity Walks
Employees from the Finance Factors Family of Companies enthusiastically put on their walking shoes to support worthy causes throughout the year. Through corporate teams and sponsor pledges, employees raise thousands of dollars to show their support for the following organizations and their walk events:
- American Diabetes Association Walk
- Multiple Sclerosis Walk
- March of Dimes WalkAmerica
- American Heart Association Heart Walk
Cultural Events
We are pleased to sponsor, support and participate in local cultural events that enrich our community and its people. We proudly support events that celebrate the ethnic diversity of our islands, including:
- Narcissus Festival
- Miss Chinatown Pageant
- The Splendor of China
- Filipino Fiesta
- Okinawan Festival
Community Celebrations
Our employees live and work in neighborhoods across Hawaii and are pleased to take part in neighborhood celebrations that recognize the importance of community, families and businesses. Finance Factors proudly supports the communities that we serve by sponsoring and/or taking part in neighborhood events such as:
- I Love Liliha Town Festival
- I Love Kailua Party
- A Taste of Kalihi
School Spirit
Like most in the community, Finance Factors has been a long-time sponsor and supporter of University of Hawaii sports. We are proud supporters of UH football, volleyball, and baseball, always cheering on the home team! We are also a long-time supporter of the Annual High School Marching Band Festival, which brings together marching bands from various high schools across the state to showcase their talents.
Junior Achievement Golf Classic
Every September, Finance Factors serves as the title sponsor of the Junior Achievement of Hawaii Golf Classic on Oahu. Dozens of employee volunteers recruit golfers, sign in players, prepare lunch, serve snacks, and coordinate the awards banquet to raise money to support Junior Achievement’s business education programs for children and teens. |
